High School Volunteers Needed for VBS! Our Lady of Lourdes (Northridge) parish is hosting Vacation Bible School, and we’d love for high school students to join the fun as volunteers! VBS is July 6–10, 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM, Moran Center. Info Meeting: May 14, 7:00 PM, Moran Center – Our Lady of Lourdes, Northridge. Can’t help during VBS week? Assemblywoman Pilar Schiavo Youth & Family Festival Volunteers Needed - Date: Saturday, May 16 - Shift 1: 7:30am-11:30am/ Shift 2: 11am-3pm. Location: Canyon County Community Center, 18410 Sierra Hwy, Santa Clarita, CA 91351. Colfax Elementary World Fair will be held on Saturday, May 16th from 11am-6pm. You may register here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdKNEXgksksW38NvJpT3_u9L6lGfPXNKBDtYwyzyyFB843EBQ/viewform and you may also email colfaxchartervolunteer@gmail.com directly. The shifts will run in 2 hour increments (students are welcome to sign up for as many as they are able) and will run as follows: 12:30-2:30pm, 2:30-4:30pm and 4:30-6:30pm. When students arrive on the Colfax campus, they should check in at the Volunteers Tent - located adjacent to the main entrance to the fair. They will be given their assignments and directions to the booth location.
The Topanga Banjo Fiddle Festival will be on May 17th, with volunteer opportunities also on the day before as well as the day after for "set up" and "tear down". Visit the "volunteer tab" on our website www.topangabanjofiddle.org to check out what the festival is all about and all the different ways that they can be involved. We provide FREE admission to the festival and lunch. The minimum requirement is only 3 hours! Anyone interested can choose a job from the "List of Jobs" and then fill out the "Volunteer Form." Wise Readers to Leaders, a tutoring program is looking for high school volunteers to engage in one-on-one remote reading and/or math tutoring with our scholars in grades K-8. These programs offer a unique and enriching mentorship experience, fostering a genuine love for learning. They have two ways to serve: 1) Their on-going, virtual year-round opportunity. Updates to Apostolic Works Program highlighted below:
- Hours Expectation: 9th grade expectation will be satisfied through Pillars retreat. Any extra hours may still be logged in to x2vol.
- Summer Hours: We are accepting any and all hours served in summer time – no maximum, wherever they served that aligns with grade level focus and general Apostolic Works guidelines. DUE DATE for summer hours claims was August 31, 2025.
- X2vol Hours Tracking Platform: New students will go over registration process in Theology class or may come to Campus Ministry for help.
Retreat registration is open soon for 10th - 12th grades! All Chaminade retreats cost only $50 and financial aid is available to those who qualify. If you have any questions feel free to email, call, or visit Mr. Bergen or any of the Campus Ministers.

MORNING PRAYER FOR ALL TEACHERS, STUDENTS AND STAFF!
Join us Tuesday through Friday at 7:45 in the a.m. in our Chapel, immediately adjacent to the Media Center in the Condon Center Building. We read the day’s scriptures, share our prayer intentions as a community, and leave renewed and ready to face our days after offering up 15 minutes to God at the beginning of it.
